Good tactical driving gave Mads Østberg and co-driver Jonas Andersson third place in Rally Argentina after Dani Sordo had to drop out only kilometres before the finish line. The duo came to Argentina hoping for a top four result. After the first day the result was a fact.

Mads Østberg and Jonas Andersson have inherited their first World Rally Championship (WRC) win at the Vodafone Rally de Portugal following the eleventh-hour exclusion of provisional rally victors, Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen.
