Mads Østberg and co-driver Jonas Andersson are back in Acropolis Rally under Superally regulations, and was third quickest through on the opening stage of day 2. Yesterday, Mads Østberg's Ford Focus RS WRC was repaired at the service after his crash in stage 4, and today he is back in the rally.

The Norwegian 23-year-old sets a third and fourth fastest time during the first two stages on today's first loop, but he lost a bit when he had to pass Ford team mate Jari-Matti Latvala.

    - Latvala struggled with engine problems and we had to pass him on SS8 and SS9. But it was just in stage 9 that we lost a bit because the stage was quite narrow and there was a lot of dust. We made some changes on the car before today and it have seen to work out well. I'm happy with the first loop of today, said M-Sport Stobart driver Mads Østberg.

Acropolis Rally of Greece offers rough, loose and rocky roads and on SS11, a stage of 26 kilometres, Østberg hit a rock. He tried to push hard through the afternoon pass today, but it was not enough to get the guys in front.

    - I was a bit to careful on the second loop because the roads are very rough with a lot of big stones, the second time we get through. I'm too cautious, and are not in the position we wish to be. Tomorrow we will try to push more and get the car better, said Østberg.

The last stage today was a night stage on nearly 18 km, a stage where Østberg struggled with the lights and the dust.

    - I tried to adjust the lights before the stage, but it was no time to recheck them. I made big adjustments, but still they were just straight up in the air. It was so much dust and just like a wall in in front of me. It's not so funny to go into a night stage without adjusted lights, - but I like the concept they have made for this rally. We had a good day, said Mads Østberg.

Mads Østberg moved from 25th at the start of the day, to 14th overall at the end of the day 2. Tomorrow the duo Østberg and Andersson will focus on getting some more experience on the rough roads in Greece. They will drive through four stages, before they finish with the live sent - Power Stage.
