After 11 stages, Mads Østberg and co-driver Jonas Andersson are laying third overall in Wales Rally GB, and are the best Norwegian team so far.

Stobart driver Mads Østberg said before the official start of Wales Rally GB that he was ready and motivated to do well. He also believed that he had a good chance to fight for a very good result. He proved that today, with his Ford Fiesta RS WRC cured at service yesterday.

- It has been a very good day, and really good fun. There has been an optimal day for us, no problems and we have got the speed we wanted, said a happy Mads Østberg.

Everything has worked out well for Østberg today, and he was also third-fastest twice. Today's 8 special stages were all new, and were running north of the Service Park in Builth Wells.

After day 2 of Wales Rally GB, you find three Norwegian team in top five overall. Petter Solberg is just 7.8 seconds behind Østberg, and with 12 special stages left spread over two days - Østberg is ready for the battle for third.

- We have a very good start position for tomorrow, and to be car number three on the round is absolutely perfect. That's the best here, because it's more and more slippery for every car that goes through. I am looking forward to fight with Petter (Solberg) for the battle for third, it's all about that now - we are going for the podium, said the 24-year-old Mads Østberg Friday night.
