Mads Østberg and his co-driver Jonas Andersson won the fourth round in the Norwegian rally championship in Sørlandet this weekend. Rally Sørland was the championships fourth round and Østberg’s seventh time in Mandal, where the rally is based. The rally started on Friday evening and Østberg was leading from start till finish.

– This round is the coolest round in the Norwegian championship. The roads are challenging and there are stages where you can push hard and take seconds, which I really like, Østberg says.

Østberg drove his Ford Fiesta RC and had no trouble with the car and enjoyed the weekend.
– I participate in this championship to get as much time in the car as I can before a WRC-event, which is my main goal this year. With 120 kilometers this weekend the preparations for Acropolis Rally has already started, Østberg says.
