Mads Østberg and Jonas Andersson has spent the time well before going to Rally Acropolis. Now they’re ready for a rough weekend.

Since Rally Argentina Østberg and co-driver Andersson has gained great seat time. Participating in Rally Sørland in Norway, Rally of Champions and last weekends testing in Portugal they feel ready for Greece.
– This is my fourth time in Greece and it’s always been a rough one. But never as rough as this year, Østberg says. The roads are extremely rough, some of the rocks are as huge as a football and stuck in the road so you have no other choice than to drive over them, he explains.

This year Østberg hopes that rational driving will take him to the podium.
– Before I came here the plan was to push from the start. That’s changed now. We have to start rational because this rally is all about that, Østberg says.

The duo is pleased with both the pace notes and the setup on their Ford Fiesta WRC. At the same time they’re well aware of the unexpected.
– Punctures and keeping the car in one piece will be things that we have to focus on, Østberg says.

Rally Acropolis is the sixth this season and is based in Loutraki 85 kilometres west of Athens. There are a total of 22 special stages starting Thursday night.

After six WRC-rounds, where Østberg and Andersson has participated in five, the duo is number four, only two points behind Mikko Hirvonen at third place.
